In our 2012 camp we were happy to have almost doubled the amount of campers in attendance since 2010 (our first camp).  This thanks to donations that enabled us to fund more students' participation.

Our focus remained on teaching the campers responsibility for their environment, and some of our key highlights included a visit to the Dominican Botanical Garden to learn about the country's fauna & flora, a neighborhood-cleaning project which we organized with the collaboration of Rey Lachapelle, a local community and youth organizing leader, and we learned to make chocolate from cacao beans, after learning about its agricultural value for the country and its health benefits, under the direction of Dona Yolanda and the expertise of Don Tilo.
